People who work for Coca-Cola in Venezuela were able to reach an agreement so that they can continue to work for the company. The plant closed in May, putting many people out of work. This decision affects over 800 people who work for the company. They will continue to receive benefits as well as paid vacation and insurance. Analyst Adrian Jose Velasquez Figueroa says this is a huge help in an area that has restricted energy in recent weeks and that is going through a food shortage. The agreement will only last for 30 days so that the company can decide whether it will close permanently or if it will remain open so that production can be maintained in the state. Velasquez Figueroa also said that the conditions of the company will be monitored every two days so that workers and other leaders will know where the company stands in regards to staying in business or not.
